Simon Penney BSc (Hons) MSc MCIWM CEnv, President
Simon has over a decade of experience in wastes and environmental management, key areas of expertise are in waste policy, legislation, research, strategy, regulation and education. He is also a member of the Scottish Parliament Cross Party Group on Wastes Management.
Simon was awarded an Honours Degree in Geography from the University of Aberdeen in 1995. In 1999 he was awarded a Masters Degree in Wastes Management from the University of Sunderland and the prestigious James Sumner Award from the then Institute of Wastes Management. He has worked for the States of Guernsey, Scotland and Northern Ireland Forum For Environmental Research and the City of Edinburgh Council.
He is currently completing an MA in Global Issues in Contemporary Mission at Redlciffe College, Centre for Mission training, Gloucester UK. Simon is in increasing demand as a passionate speaker on issues concerning the environment at conferences and workshops across the UK and internationally.
Chartered Waste Manager, Chartered Environmentalist, Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society, Member of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA), Member of the International Solid Waste Association.

Rachel is a freelance environmental consultant based in Southampton. She has wide-ranging environmental management experience in the UK & in overseas development projects. In the UK, she has worked for a regulator and commercial consultancies, developing technical and project management skills in environmental impact assessment, waste management and community consultation. She is skilled in situations where tactful influencing and change management is the key to a successful outcome. This is complemented by her overseas experience in environmental issues in rural communities, working in ithe volunteer sector, United Nations and consultancy. She is a member of Chartered Institute of Wastes Management.

Along with her confident personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills, she is highly numerate and analytical with experience in quantitative and qualitative research; enthusiastic, self-motivated and comfortable working in multi-cultural teams. Some of her experience: World Bank, UN, IMD Business School. She has extensive experience with market research and analyses as well as systems development.

Shahin comes to Promise with experience in marketing and international trade. Having worked with World Concern- Bangladesh for Urban Women Entrepreneurs, MCC and USAID, she is a great addition to the team.
